This is so easy! All you do is buy a pumpkin that is flat on the bottom and cut the top off. Then hollow it out. Next you wet some floral foam and put it in the bottom of the pumpkin. Now add fresh cut flowers. It is a wonderful centerpiece that will last for a few weeks. This could be done with squash as well. The thick rinds will stay healthy for some time after being cut open! It's beautiful! I love using things from the outdoors to decorate with. I went out and gathered some pinecones from the yard and will be using them in a wreath for the front door.

Kristen, the flowers in the pumpkin look so pretty! The other day when I was taking a walk around the neighborhood, I noticed that one house had mums in pumpkins surrounding their walkway. It looked so welcoming ~ and different!
