Thank you and Reflection.....

Hello everyone! I want to apologize for the long periods between my posts lately. I am still trying to settle into life here without my DH. First let me thank all of you who have been praying for my dear friend that was in surgery last week. She did make it home and we are thrilled that she is doing so very well. Continued prayers for her recovery would be so appreciated. The power of prayer simply can't be matched.

So many times in our lives we find ourselves in situations that are so much bigger than we can ever realize. Those are the moments when we most need support from the people around us. God has opened my eyes to the wonders of friendship and fellowship in my time here in Watertown. In a time when I simply was not coping with my husband leaving well at all, he provided the most amazing Christian friends that I could have ever asked for. I have grown closer to those whom I was already friends with and have even made some new friends that I am so very thankful for! There is never a moment when I am sitting here wondering how I will pass the time. It is now that I truly understand the term, "Sisters in Christ". God has blessed me immensely in more ways than I can mention and I sit here truly humbled by his love and kindness.

Isnt it amazing how close your faraway friends can be? We may none of us ever meet, but there is a real link between so many of us.

Kristy, you are a wonderful person and wonderful friend. I know how much you have been doing and I am amazed at your continued energy. All things happen for a reason and I was once told (at a very tuff time) "God doesn't make mistakes".
I tell myself that over and over.
Stay strong and all will be okay and you will be watched over.
Love you bunches, Gramma

I'm glad to hear V is doing well. I'm hoping to go see her once we are down there. The big move day is June 14th! Yeah!

How's the VBS plans going?

True friends really shine through in a crisis, don't they? Cherish the ones you have. I love you and you can lean on me anytime. Glad to hear that your friend is recovering. I'm sure it means a lot to her that she has you to lean on! But remember, don't divert your own trying times on everyone else. Take care of yourself and the kids first!

I am so glad that you are so well supported when you are having such a rough time. I can only imagine how hard it must be to have your husband away in the army.

I am glad to hear that your friend is recovering well.

Hugs from us in Oz (and perhaps one day we'll meet and be 'real' friends),

Kate

Proverbs 31: 10-31

While the woman described in Proverbs 31 may seem to be unatainable, I have made it my goal to learn as much as is possible about her in order to make myself a more capable and virtuous woman in God's eyes.
